Daffodil Day is the largest national fundraising event for cancer research, education and patient support in the Southern Hemisphere. In 2006 it was held in August and Rowville Apexians sold merchandise at the Stud Park shopping centre. The Daffodil is the international symbol of hope for all touched by cancer.

Sixty years ago, only 25% of Victorians survived after being diagnosed with serious cancer. Today, more than 50% survive and this rate is growing. Money raised through Daffodil Day goes toward vital cancer research, education and prevention programs, and patient and family support services. Cancer affects one in three Australians. The two in three who are not directly affected by cancer will know someone who is.
